We are a small design consultancy based in York and also with an office in Suffolk. We work in a wide range of design disciplines including architecture, leisure, retail, interiors and all aspects of graphic design.
Since we started inspire: in 2001, we’ve always worked in a very collaborative way with our core team of ten supplemented by other experts that we know and new partners that we’ve discovered along the way.
Our opinion has always been an important part of our make up, so this blog is the start of our way of recording those opinions and perhaps even sparking some debate. Because we work in different locations we also use it as a place to talk to each other, pass on and store snippets of random and useful (and useless) information.
Amanda George
Someone once mistook Amanda’s frank opinion for brusqueness. As you can see here this isn’t really the case.
Amanda has a great deal of experience in a a lot of things many of them to do with retail design, planning and interior design and of course shopping.
Along the way Amanda has worked for Fitch, Portland Design and Rodney Fitch before starting inspire: in 2001.

Nick Brown
Nick looks after our Suffolk office which is handy as it’s next to his house! He is a graphic designer with many years experience, and was has worked at several design consultancies including David Davies Associates, Fitch and Coley Porter Bell before spending 5 years as Head of Graphics at Rodney Fitch.
